Smart Groups
Smart Groups are a means to make users comfortable and to create connections between them. By identifying meaningful relationships — when they are present or even when the technology senses them – the platform can automatically invite users to a group where they will find other like-minded people. These groups tend to create stronger bonds because the members can share, learn or discover things together.
For example, MixingBowl uses Smart Groups during the registration process, and automatically suggests groups to join based on custom profile questions and their answers. So a new user who is interested in grilling might be invited to the group, “Southern BBQ Traditions.”
