Account Executive

Job Description:

The Account Executive (AE) will act as the primary point of contact for our Fortune 500 clients to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction for each assigned account. The AE will also create ongoing social media strategies, deliver innovative ideas and programs to drive increased user involvement. The AE will help clients understand community activity, using Ripple Analytics, our proprietary measurement and mapping tool. In addition, the AE will work to renew and grow the Ripple6 customer base through continued consulting and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand client’s business objectives and develop a strategic vision to meet their business needs
  • Work with customers and internal resources to scope and estimate projects, including authoring Statements of Work
  • Recommend Ripple6’s social media tools and communicate trends
  • Develop a depth of knowledge across the competitive marketplace to assist customers in developing tactical plans for deploying our solutions
  • Cultivate excellent professional working relationships with customer project stakeholders
  • Plan and execute on-site Project Kick-offs, including functional requirements gatherings
  • Manage project timelines and key deliverables around project milestones
  • Assist customer with social media strategy, deployment/launch plans, training, community involvement and ongoing use of the Ripple6 platform
  • Conduct client training on how to work with the platform and relevant tools

Experience:

This position requires strong product knowledge and proven hands-on experience in problem solving and innovation, plus the ability to coordinate and manage implementations.

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or related consulting or account management experience
  • Strong understanding of web 2.0, social networking, and web technologies
  • Exceptional relationship-building and customer service skills
  • 4-7 years experience in a Client Services or Biz Dev role, ideally in an internet environment
  • 3+ years project management and relevant customer-facing consulting experience
  • Excellent presentation and client interaction skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft productivity tools (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook)
  • Working business knowledge of HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript is ideal
  • Social media or community management experience a plus
  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and possess excellent time-management skills

Product Marketing Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for an experience Product Marketing Manager to lead product positioning and strategy for a new line of solutions.  This person will play a vital role on a cross-functional team that is developing new products based on the features of the Ripple6 social platform.  The Product Marketing Manager will ensure that the new solutions are driven by the unique needs of the market, that they are uniquely positioned to fit those needs, and that they meet revenue and client satisfaction objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead product positioning and strategy development for a new line of solutions offered upon the Ripple6 social platform.
  • Conduct market, industry, STP (segmentation, targeting, and positioning) and competitive analyses  
  • Identify and confirm strategic product positioning in the marketplace
  • Ensure products deliver on business benefits and expectations and are aligned with their associated positioning
  • Develop pricing and packaging strategies
  • Identify and lead development for innovative marketing programs and campaigns to support these products.
  • Develop ROI metrics for customers and potential customers
  • Ensure that the products are correctly communicated to the market
  • Act as a liaison between relevant departments to ensure proper product development
  • Act as a primary point of contact for product, marketing and competitive information
  • Participate in sales calls and other customer facing activities to generate requirements for new product and feature creation

 
Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching new  products
  • 3+ years of experience in a job in software development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage and multi-task in a face-paced, high-growth environment.

Sales Director

Job Description:

As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing opportunities for Ripple6 within Agencies, online publishers, and/or Fortune 500 accounts. You will be responsible for calling on and building relationships with senior executives within the Digital/Interactive Media divisions of our prospective customers. This role is an incredible opportunity to be a part of an innovative organization that is enabling companies to build new and deeper relationships with their online communities and social media initiatives.  Candidates must have excellent communication skills, a high degree of self-motivation and independence, and enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment with other highly motivated individuals. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Exceed all revenue targets on a consistent bases
  • Develop and execute territory and account plans
  • Provide reporting (SF.C) on activity and customer development
  • Provide customer insight to Product Management and Engineering
  • Work strategically with Ripple6 partners to develop new opportunities
  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction

Experience:

  • 5 – 10 years of successful Business Sales experience with consistent over achievement
  • Experience selling internet and digital media solutions
  • Experience selling six and seven figure transactions
  • Strong relationships within one or more of our target markets

Social Media Engineer

A white-label social media company is looking for a set of social media engineers to work in Chicago and New York in tandem with sales account executives.  We call them social media engineers because the position is similar to what a sales engineer would do for a large technology firm – you are the expert at identifying client needs and crafting the solution once the salesperson has made the initial contact.

This is a sales and product position.  When you’re not working with the salesperson to craft and land deals, you’ll be using your network to help your salesperson with leads.  When you’re not helping bring in leads, you’ll be working with the corporate office on methodologies, product suite descriptions, and service offerings.

The right candidate is whip smart, an excellent presenter, and possesses deep experience in how corporations function.  A background in project integration is required, and expertise in large project technical integration (database, CRM) is very helpful, but not required.

The position is front-end.  A technical team is in charge of installation, which then hands the project off to a project manager.  Your job is to forecast problems, map out the proper route to a successful integration, lay out the metrics the client will use to measure success, and ultimately help close the sale and prepare for a smooth transition.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify key performance indicators and metrics tailored to each client
  • Work with Salesperson on new business development and closing.

Technical Program Manager – Social Media Web Analytics

Job Description:

The Product Development team is looking for an experienced technical program manager to help extend an industry-leading social media analytics solution. The program manager will work closely with both technical and business teams, clients and creative, developers and cross-disciplinary team members to map functionality to business objectives and drive product/platform enhancements.  He/she will work with Product Management to define the product requirements, product roadmap, and sales/marketing approach.  Detailed experience with web analytics tools like Google Analytics, Omniture, Telligent, Radian6 or corporate Portal/Dashboard solutions is an important requirement for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the gathering, definition and documentation of project requirements.
  • Setting up roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables for business owners and the technical implementation teams.
  • Executing each project from conception to delivery, ensuring the overall quality and success of each product.
  • Coordinate designers, information architects, developers/engineers, QA, and deployment ensuring deliverables are on time.
  • Provide regular project status updates and presentations to internal and external stakeholders, and seek out and implement management feedback.
  • Managing the business relationship with the tech team regarding requirements and the development of new features
  • Develop, maintain and manage project plans. Define and track tasks, dependencies, priorities, milestones, deliverables, and risks.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of industry experience in a program management role at a software or web product company
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Extensive experience in relating to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Direct experience working within one or more of the following areas: social media, online communities, online marketing, website delivery, or ecommerce.
  • Direct experience gathering and documenting detailed requirements definitions for complex web development projects
  • Familiarity with recognized project management tools and software development lifecycle.
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to fully understand and define scope of technical software projects
  • Good understanding of relevant software technologies
