I&#039;m not sure if or when the broader aspects of Jeremiah&#039;s definition of Social Commerce will happen.
However, we do have brands working directly with customers on our communities today.  Brands are conducting research using our Social Insights technology to help shape future products and to guide advertising programs.  So in a very real sense to use Jeremiah&#039;s words, &quot;Communities define future products and services&quot; is being delivered by Ripple6 today and in use by major brands.  It is still in it&#039;s infancy but it is without a doubt being done now.

It&#039;s been my experience that easy and friendly technologies have a tendency to be adopted quickly.  If anyone would have said in 2007 that Twitter would have a 1000%+ growth rate people would laugh at them.  And today etailers are scrambling like mad to incorporate user reviews if they don&#039;t offer them today.  This indicates that well designed, and friendly technologies will leap ahead in adoption and acceptance by the general public.
